Flagship station The BIG 615 and the rest of Garth BrooksSEVENS Radio Network family are ready to take part in CMA Fest this week in Nashville, as tens of thousands of people descend on Music City for one of country music’s biggest weeks of the year!

The festival kicks off on Thursday, and that morning The Garth Channel host and Program Director Blake Carter (who also helms Tailgate Radio’s weekly “Tailgate Top 20 Countdown”) will host the event’s Dr. Pepper Amp Stage. That afternoon, The BIG 615’s Storme Warren can be found onstage as the host of the Chevy Riverfront Stage.

Garth Brooks surprised 85,000 country music fans in Indio, California, Sunday night when he nonchalantly strolled on stage during Luke Combs' closing set at Stagecoach.

Combs had hinted he might have an artist pop out to help him close the show, but fans were nearly dumbstruck when Garth jumped in and took over Combs' cover of "Friends in Low Places.”

More than 30 years later, Dave Gant is still getting the job done –although he ceded most fiddlin' duties to Jimmy Mattingly years ago. He spends most of his time on keyboards.
