TAILGATE RADIO’S “TAILGATE TOP 20” MARKS A MILESTONE
“100” – it’s a number that can translate to a gold medal in track-&-field or the Olympic pool…take you more than halfway down the fairway on a par-3…and get you from your own end-zone to the other for a touchdown! And it’s a number that’s adding up to a big “score” no matter how you look at it for this weekend’s edition of the Tailgate Top 20 on the Sevens Radio Network’s Tailgate Radio!
This weekend’s show – featuring music from such superstars as Rihanna, The White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift and Ozzy Osbourne – is the 100th edition of the program that began with the launch of Tailgate Radio at the end of August 2023!
“This show doesn’t just take us on a musical journey back in time every week – we also get to relive all the sports highlights, major events and pop culture moments of the year and the season we’re showcasing,” says Tailgate Radio Program Director Jonny Jazzno. “You never really know where it's going to go – and Blake Carter brings it to life in new ways all the time with her personal touch and stories.”
Each week, host Blake Carter counts down the biggest party songs and tailgate favorites from that week in a given year (from the early 1990s and into the 2010s)…sharing insights behind the songs, artists, and events that were taking place in that timeframe. “I love being part of this,” she shares. “It’s so much fun to share this music and these stories with people every week. I even learn things…and I know this music!”
Check it out for yourself! This week’s Tailgate Top 20 is all about the music and events of 2007 – the year the iPhone was introduced…we met “Sheldon,” Leonard” and “Penny” on The Big Bang Theory…and The Sopranos faded to black. The Tailgate Top 20 airs weekly on Fridays (2:00pm & 9:00pm ET), Saturdays (10:00am & 5:00pm ET), and Sundays (1:00pm & 8:00pm ET).
