2023 ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS SEE RECORD VIEWERSHIP/SOCAL MEADIA INTERACTIONS

Reports 87% Audience Growth Over Last Year's Award Show

The 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards, co-hosted by Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton at The Star in Frisco, Texas, and streamed live internationally on May 11 on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, reports an 87% year-over-year audience growth from the 2022 show.  The 2023 ACM Awards was the No. 1 program across all social media platforms for TV and streaming on May 11 (excluding sports), according to Talkwalker.  The show drew 60.6 million video views across the ACM’s official Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok from May 11 through May 22, marking a record increase of 94% in year-over-year social media views, per ListenFirst.  Read the Billboard story here for all the details.

The 2023 ACM Awards show featured 18 performances from 24 artists, including Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Jordan Davis, HARDY, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, The War And Treaty, Lainey Wilson, and Bailey Zimmerman. Collaborations included Ed Sheeran and Luke Combs; Carly Pearce and Trisha Yearwood; Cole Swindell and Jo Dee Messina; and Ashley McBryde featuring Brandy Clark, Caylee Hammack, Pillbox Patti, and John Osborne.

According to Billboard, Keith Urban, Ed Sheeran with Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert all saw streaming increases of 200% or more following their live performances. Co-host Dolly Parton performed “World on Fire,” the lead single from her highly anticipated rock album Rockstar, which landed at No. 1 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart and No. 3 on the Country Digital Song Sales chart.
