“You Got ‘Em!” Fans Share Their Excitement at Scoring Tickets to the Opening of Garth Brooks’ Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour in Indianapolis

Response to the ticket on-sale for the first shows of Garth’s Blame It All On My Roots Tour at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis was overwhelming, prompting him to add two shows.  Fans whose patience was rewarded with tickets to one of the four shows now scheduled for August 20-23 shared their excitement on social media, posting screen shots of their position in the queue and their “You Got ‘Em” confirmation email from Ticketmaster.

For some fans, seeing Garth is a “bucket list” moment years in the making.  

Mike Parks wrote: “I have to share this because I’m still kind of in shock. Garth Brooks has been on my ‘someday’ list since I was a kid. Every tour announcement, every ticket drop, every time friends went and I couldn’t make it work — for years, it just never lined up. . . Today it happened. I got tickets to see Garth Brooks live on the Blame It All On My Roots Tour, and I have been walking around all day with the confirmation email pulled up like it’s going to vanish if I stop looking at it. . . See you there, Garth. This one’s a long time coming.”

Kim Bartley posted: “I waited in the queue with thousands in front of me, I am so thankful we finally got tickets to the Sunday show!! Thank you for adding extra shows, you have been on my bucket list for years!”

Anticipation of their first Garth concert is extra sweet for those who will be sharing the experience with loved ones.

Ashley Tynes posted: “I was in the ‘waiting room’ on Ticketmaster at 7 AM this morning for the Garth Brooks show in Indianapolis for Saturday August 22 . . . I waited and it counted down all the way to where I was number 600 in line and then said it was sold out. Right before that he had announced he was adding a show on Thursday the 20th and I got in line with only 2,000 people before me and at least scored tickets to that one!!!! Garth Brooks is one of my bucket list concerts! Happy early Birthday Tyler Tynes!!”

Shirley Rednour shared: “37 years I have waited and tried to get tickets to see him in concert    . . . And best part is that I get to have this experience with my kiddo! So excited!!”

And, some fans know exactly what they’re in store for.

Vicki Fritch Strohm wrote: “ . . . finally ending up getting tix for the 4th show on Thursday night! All that only took about 45 minutes!! Can’t wait for the show - will be our 4th time seeing him!”

Lisa Linch asked: “Who else got tickets !???? It was crazy as usual but we snagged them for Sunday ! I mean I don’t think it’ll ever be better than when we got upgraded to the pit for FREE buut still SUPER excited!”

For those hoping to see Garth in Indianapolis who weren’t able to purchase tickets during the on-sale, there’s good news. AEG teamed with Ticketmaster to create a dedicated fan registration page that will notify registered fans when additional tickets become available. In the first city of a tour, tickets are held for production; once those tickets are deemed 'sellable,' they are released. Garth’s goal is to make as many of those seats as possible available to fans at the same price offered on the original on-sale day-- $154 ($140 ticket price, $4 facility fee, and $10 service charge), plus applicable taxes.  Fans can register here to be notified when those additional tickets go on sale.
