TRISHA YEARWOOD: Finding The Best of Both Worlds on The Mirror Tour!
Trisha Yearwood is heading into the final leg of her spring tour this weekend – and what a spring it’s been for her…and her fans! The Mirror Tour: An Intimate Acoustic Evening of Stories and Song has taken Trisha all over the country – way out to the West Coast…into the nation’s midsection…and this weekend to the Northeast for a final run of shows.
The entire experience…which finds Trisha performing a mix of songs from her recent album, The Mirror, as well as tracks from the follow-up deluxe version and some of her biggest hits…has not only reinforced her newfound love of songwriting (she co-wrote every song on The Mirror and The Mirror: Deluxe) – it’s reminded her how much she missed being a part of that world!
“When I first moved to town and I was a demo singer, I was in the songwriting world,” she notes. “I knew all the writers. And then (with the success of ‘She’s in Love With the Boy’) I went from being here 24/7 to being gone 24/7. Those relationships…didn’t just sort of fade out – they were cut off. I was gone. We did 200-and-something dates that first year,” she recalls.
Now Trisha finds herself combining the best of both those worlds – playing in front of a live audience, joined on each show by fellow songwriters Leslie Satcher and Bridgette Tatum – two of her many songwriting collaborators. “This has been such a re-entry into that world,” she says with a smile. “And my favorite things are these relationships. We’re friends! We are invested in each other’s lives! And I was missing that.”
Trisha’s The Mirror Tour: An Intimate Acoustic Evening of Stories and Song wraps this weekend with concerts in Albany and Ithaca, New York…and Shippensburg and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. If you haven’t gotten yours already, grab tickets and more info at the tour page on Trisha’s website!
