The Countdown Is On! The New Anthology, Part IV: Going Home Arrives in Just Days!

The countdown to the release of Garth Brooks’ new Anthology, Part IV: Going Home – the latest and most personal installment yet in his popular series of box sets and narratives chronicling his career – is on! The package arrives next Friday (December 6), and the countdown to its release intensified with Garth’s visit this week to Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Anthology, Part IV is all about being in Oklahoma for 14 years and out of the music business,” Garth told the host and his Los Angeles studio audience, explaining – as he’s done since its announcement – what makes The Anthology, Part IV so personal. “It was just so good to get back to good people, sweet people…normalcy. It was cool,” he says of the times that are reflected in the project, which sheds never-before-seen light on the years he spent…and the music he made…home in Oklahoma, far from the arenas and concert stages that had made him famous. “Sometimes the priorities get out of whack. Sometimes you have to go home to get those back in perspective.”

Among the stories he shared – that can also be found in the pages of The Anthology, Part IV: Going Home – a recounting of the first time he and his daughters hosted Trisha Yearwood for a dinner at their Oklahoma home…well before he and Trisha tied the knot. He also talked about working with Huey Lewis, a longtime friend of Kimmel’s, when they reworked Lewis’ “Workin’ for a Livin’” during that timeframe. And he treated an outdoor audience to a full-band performance, highlighted by “Fishin’ In the Dark” – one of the many songs from the era of time chronicled in Anthology, Part IV: Going Home that are featured on the collection’s six discs of music!

The Anthology, Part IV: Going Home is available now!
