The BIG 615’s Storme Warren and Monta Vaden Earn Major Country Radio Award Nominations!

The BIG 615’s on-air host Storme Warren and music director Monta Vaden are first-time finalists for this year’s CRS/Country Aircheck Awards. Storme is one of the five talents in the National Daily Personality/Show category…while Monta finds herself recognized in the National Programmer/Curator category, where she’s also the only female nominee.

“To be a part of this team and all we’ve accomplished together in such a short time, building a global home for country music and its fans, has been nothing short of exhilarating,” Storme said after receiving news of the nomination, his first in a decades-spanning broadcast career. “I’m overwhelmed by the support, love and acceptance for what we’re doing to celebrate, promote and take care of country music.”

“For us to be recognized in multiple categories after less than a year on the air is a testament to the unique strategy, philosophy and hard work of this incredible team,” exuded Monta, who returned to radio for the first time in more than a decade with her role at The BIG 615. “To be listed among giants of our country radio industry is overwhelming, humbling, and a true honor.”

“I couldn’t be happier for Storme and Monta both,” says Garth Brooks, who personally approached each last year as he prepared to launch The BIG 615 in connection with TuneIn as the flagship station of his SEVENS Radio Network, a platform that now also includes Tailgate Radio and The Garth Channel. “I couldn’t be happier for The BIG 615. But mostly, I couldn’t be happier for country music. These two people love country music.”

“It’s wonderful to see Monta’s and Storme’s excellent work building The BIG 615 into a global country station recognized with these nominations,” BIG 615 Program Director Bob Richards notes. “They’re not just world class at what they do – they’re also world class people!”

Voting for the CRS/Country Aircheck Awards is open only to country radio, record industry and allied industry professionals, and anyone casting a ballot must be directly involved in the country music business. Storme, Monta and the other finalists were determined by a prior industry vote…and the final round of voting is open until 11:59pm on Tuesday, January 23. Winners will be announced during the New Faces Of Country Music Show at CRS 2024, the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville (February 28-March 1).
