It’s No Joke! Garth Brooks to Release Retro “Fresh Horses” World Tour T-Shirt April 1

Garth Brooks will release the second shirt in his vintage collection on Monday, April 1, bringing back the immensely popular Fresh Horses design launched with his World Tour in 1996.  The front of the shirt, available exclusively at the store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk, shows Garth standing in a wheat field in jeans, t-shirt, denim jacket, and white hat.  The back lists the dates on his first World Tour.

"This is the shirt I see in the crowd...still from '96, but ALWAYS in the crowd,” Garth comments.  "On the road, we could never keep this in stock. It may be the first time the circle g makes an appearance on wearables."

No doubt Garth signed countless Fresh Horses t-shirts during his marathon 23-hour signing session at Fan Fair in 1996.

During Garth’s 1996-1998 concert tour, he played 350 shows in 100 cities, selling over 5.3 million tickets.  He sold over 1.8 million tickets in 1996, more than any other touring act that year.  He sold out practically every show on the tour, playing multiple shows in each city and consistently breaking venue at-tendance records set by the likes of Elvis Presley, The Grateful Dead, Elton John, and Neil Diamond.

Garth will introduce a “new” retro shirt on the first Monday of each month until the end of the year.  They are available exclusively at the store at Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk at 411 Broadway, limit two shirts per customer, while supplies last.  The first retro tee, released March 7 to celebrate the grand opening of FILP, dated back to 1991 and Ropin’ the Wind.
