GARTH BROOKS HITS A GRAND SLAM WITH OPENING WEEKEND OF LAS VEGAS RESIDENCY AT THE COLOSSEUM AT CAESARS PALACE

Brooks Powers Through 2 ½-Hour Sets, Mesmerizing the Crowd

By all accounts, Garth Brooks hit a grand slam with the opening weekend shows of his Las Vegas Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Brooks loaded the bases with his biggest hits, fan favorite album tracks, and covers of artists he loves, then hit it out of the park by weaving solo, acoustic performances with the Plus ONE “muscle” of his full band and duets with Trisha Yearwood.  He brought it home as the crowd erupted into spontaneous sing-alongs throughout his 2 ½-hour sets.

John Katsilometes of the Las Vegas Review-Journal wrote, “Brooks’ ‘Plus One’ vision is to bring out any special guests to join his party. It might be his wife, could be a fellow musician. But what we saw Thursday is Brooks’ plus-one is also you, me, all of us, joining his sing-along of a lifetime.”

According to Billy Dukes of Taste of Country, “Garth Garth'd. His rare gift is an ability to live in a moment more completely than any other performer.”

And what was Garth’s favorite part of the weekend?  “I’d have to say it was how the audience responded to each other,” he shared in this week’s Inside Studio G, citing the crowd’s ovation for a soldier who had recently returned from deployment and their loving support for a cancer survivor who requested a song.

Brooks has 18 more shows on tap as part of Garth Brooks/Plus ONE in 2024.  Fans who previously signed up and were unable to purchase tickets for the 2023 dates will have first access to purchase tickets to the 2024 shows with a special Verified Fan presale. More information will be sent to these eligible fans via email.  All other fans can register now through Thursday, May 25, at 5 p.m. PT for the Verified Fan On sale at ticketmaster.com/GarthVegas.
