GARTH BROOKS AND TRISHA YEARWOOD MAKE SURPRISE GRAND OLE OPRY APPEARANCE
The Grand Ole Opry audience experienced the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick's weekend when Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood made a surprise appearance. Brooks came out first and launched into "Callin' Baton Rouge," bringing the crowd to its feet. Yearwood then joined him onstage for a duet of "Shallow" that brought the house down.
Brooks became an Opry member in 1990, and Yearwood was inducted 24 years ago, on March 13, 1999.
"It's an honor any time we get to stand in that circle and play as part of the Opry family," Brooks stated.
